The City of Santa Fe will be offering new rebates effective May 1, 2016, to help homeowners save money on their utility bills. Due to changes in both Federal standards and the availability of more types of high-efficiency fixtures and appliances, a number of changes have been made to the rebate program to bring the value of the rebates in line with the anticipated water savings.

“Advances in technology have made fixtures like toilets and clothes washers more efficient than they were just five years ago,” said Christine Chavez, Water Conservation Manager, “These changes to the program reflect those improvements, as well as adding some new device types to the program.”

The Water Conservation staff will be working to get the new information out to retailers during the week of May 2, 2016. Customers can also print out the new rebate application forms and get the most current information about the rebate program.

If you have any questions about the rebate program or its recent changes, please contact a Water Conservation Specialist at 505.955.4225 or email wcoffice@santafenm.gov.
